RAYMOND

"We want a divorce."

"What I need the Francophones to know is that, just like any marriage, we’re not happy with it, and we want a divorce."

The name "Ambazonia, is derived from Ambas Bay - which is a river that separates Southern Cameroons from La Republique du Cameroon." Raymond feels that after all of the atrocities that have happened during the war, it will not be possible to co-exist with the French side moving forward. He wishes for independence.

"We’ve actually left psychologically, now we just need to leave physically and therefore everything that we do right now, we need to assert ourselves as an independent people, including the name. "
